2014 Girls Soccer Tournament

Glastonbury claims 2014 CCC Girls’ Soccer Tournament Championship

A goal by Madison Seymour with 17:38 left was all top-seeded Glastonbury needed to claim the 2014 CCC Girls Soccer Tournament title. Seymour, who entered the game with about 20 minutes left, gave the Tomahawks the spark they needed and the defense made it stand up for the victory. Keeper Abbey Renaud came up big to make a save with less than two minutes left and preserve the victory for the CCC North champions.
RHAM, the CCC East champion, reached the final with a 1-0 opening round win over South Windsor and another narrow 1-0 win over Simsbury in the semi final. Glastonbury downed Hall 3-1 in the opening round and dispatched South Division champ Berlin by a 4-1 margin in the semis.
